SLE Application question

Hello,
I am currently a Junior in high school and will be taking the ACT for the first time this October, and have been between 28-29 on my practice tests.

Am I taking the ACT too late to apply for SLE? I see some people on this forum who are already on their 2nd or 3rd try.

Also, if I do take the ACT again between now and February, will I be able to alter the scores on my SLE application, or is it set in stone once submitted?

Thank you,

Plenty early. Many SLE applicants only have PSAT scores. You can't even start the application until January.

You can always update you scores by sending them in; however, if you wait until February to test, your scores possibly won't reach your file in time to be considered by the April SLE application deadline.

I took my act in February and the scores got in before I was accepted to sle. So you should be good.

Take the SAT as well. Different people do better on one test or the other.

Thank you all for the responses! Also, does USMA see your PSAT scores? Or only if you want them to?

I'm not sure if they do, but you can use them for your SLE application. They don't need you to like send in your PSAT scores(I don't think it's even possible to send PSAT scores like an SAT/ACT) for the SLE application, you just type them into boxes. You can leave the box empty if you want but I don't think that could help you.

This may be off topic, but what is considered a good PSAT/ACT score for SLE? I know USMA looks at an applicant holistically for their selection of SLE but I just wanted to know..
