Hi friends! It's March 9th and I feel a good vibe coming down the pipe. Is it your week? Is it ours? I don't know, but I think someone is going to get some news this week.

I think we already know you will hear before us!! But regardless.. here is crossing all our fingers and toes for someone to hear something!!!!

I will be hanging in there with you all. Goin' to work soon but I will be running home at lunch to check the box starting Wednesday......I just can't wait to see the first one of you to get it!

Last year he was waitlisted....until June 6th. I don't want to think it could happen again, but you never know.

I am so hopeful for you...I can't imagine the CGA finding a young man more motivated and desiring to work and serve as you have described--wishing you the very best--and this week too!!
What form did the June 6th correspondence come? Just another letter saying he was no longer wait-listed or what? Who knows, my son could be in such a position...we'll see.

Your words are so kind. He has done all he can, and now it truly is out of our hands. Whatever the outcome I know he will do well.

The final letter came on June 6th of last year. It basically said that the class had been filled, and that the waitlist was closed. It was, of course, the dreaded skinny envelope. Take heart, as some who were waitlisted did get in. I will keep your son in my prayers as well. Though we don't know everyone on this list personally, I would wager that all of them are among the finest applicants around!

omg... I can't play mafia wars for atleast 2 hours, and my farming is done forthe next 24... no mail to get... I am gonna go crazy! :biggrin:

You are so funny. I am hooked on that darn myfarm too. Not sure if I have time and energy to add the mafiawars. I am spending waayyyyy too much time on my cyber life. On the other hand, it does help pass the time.

I believe that folks will start hearing things pretty quickly now. My son just received a call from a coach who informed him that he has been accepted and will be receiving official notice very soon! We are obviously very thrilled. :yllol:

I have been quietly lurking on this site for a few months and really appreciate knowing that I was not suffering alone in this waiting game! You have all been very helpful, without realizing it. Thanks. My prayers are with you.

Inquiring minds want to know....did you see a change in your admission status on DoDMERB prior to getting the big white envelope of joy? My son's hasn't budged. He is medically qualified, but the admission status still has Aug 2008 showing. It's got me a little concerned right now....
