Norwich-Thermal Underware?

Does anyone know;
Are Cadets at Norwich allowed to wear thermal underware?
If so, any particular requirements?
Looked in the Cadet handbook but saw nothing relevant.
 
While I would not pretend to be an expert our DS has ordered some base layer thermal wear. I have attached the link below that shows the type/color he ordered. He has also mentioned that when it is really cold that he would be wearing another layer on top of this base layer. I do not know where he got the information but he is in MCW and that might be his source of information. I hope that helps. Good luck to you and your Rook.

Yes and multiple sizes so you can wear two at the same time. I would think if it under the uniform there should be no issue.

Remember Norwich has only two seasons of weather: Brutal Cold and August 23.
 
The West Point parents have been discussing this topic recently as well. Merino wool has been touted by several parents as excellent when blended with silk or another fiber. This is good for when you are standing for long periods in the cold (like at a football game :) ). A few parents mentioned finding good merino wool base layers at Costco.

When you are exercising in the cold weather, then the moisture wicking kind is better.
 
Yes we are allowed to wear thermals, polypro, or waffle tops depending on what you refer to them as. They just have to be the same sand color as the ACU shirts that we wear underneath our blouses. If you want an idea of what to get and you're on campus, the uniform store has Condor base layers, but you can get them on amazon for half the price.
 
Major-Jared... you are posting on threads that are nearly 2 years old. Half these folks haven't posted in a year or so.
