Am sitting here at Thudgate and no one in sight! Where is everyone? This SEC dad has got to teach the MW crowd about setting up early to a key game!! Even though my Dawgs lost to FL .. A lot of my old running buds are probably still in Jax!!! (But not wearing red after that whooping!)
Really am here! But can't wait to see everyone Saturday !!

I think they should move all the AF games to the Steeler Nation... couldn't be worse than what I watched at Heinz Field on Sunday.

I feel your pain!
I was watching my son down at the airfield in the IP program, and just had to send the above post from the Thudgate site.. So CC, and the other Mike.. Y'all are late!

I will have 40 AFJROTC cadets at the Army game on Saturday!

They're mostly "born and raised" in the Phoenix area so you'll spot them easily: walking icicles!!!

Definitely looking forward to the game. It's sad we lost to navy, but we have every intention of giving army everything we have. A win makes us "bowl eligible".

On a side note: Our forum administration is once again sponsoring Thudgate. So if any of you forum members can make it to the game, Thudgate promises to be an extraordinary event. I'm especially looking forward to seeing my brother again. "Steve - Flieger". Been too long brother. We anticipate thudgate to be close to 300 people. The weather is suppose to be PERFECT. Plenty of sunshine in the 50's. Perfect day for a football game and tailgate.

Hope to see everyone out there.

I wasn't able to go to parents weekend but I'M COMING TO THE AF vs ARMY game on Saturday and am super excited for that as well as to see DS! I've never even been to a college game before. Any advice for this Mom and her sister coming to the game? I have tickets, a parking pass and read over all the rules but what else do i need to know?

Mike: WAAAY too long brother!!!

ebotterb3: Just be prepared for a very spirited game. :D Don't want to spoil anything but cadets really know how to whoop it up in the stands, especially the push-up detail!

Expecting close to 300 at Thudgate. Hopefully all you visitors will stay until we do our "Toast". We usually do the toast about an hour before kickoff. This gives you plenty of time to get into the stadium and get settled for the festivities.

We are ready! We got an unexpected call from DS yesterday that he was finished with his duties for the day so we got there asap and go a great tour an hike up 2 of the 3 bear hills. The feeling on base is pure ENERGY!

I will second what CC said: If you have not participated in the "Toast"...DO....it is a wonderful tribute..a wonderful challenge...and such a heartfelt gesture that anybody on here that attends the Game has to go by and experience this great Thudgate 'tradition'!! It is very emotionally moving.

Excellent turn out today. Our forum administrator contributed a "Whole Pig". Definitely some GOOOOOOD Eats today. It was also great to see Steve (Flieger) and some of our other forum contributors. Hope some of you can make it in the future.

It was AWESOME! And as always, seeing Mike (CC) was just plain excellent!! The turn out...if it wasn't 300+...and of course, EVERYONE was welcome!

At the end...the roll call...it was gut wrenching. We do that on the terrazzo every year...it's painful and solemn...my high school classmate Mike, whose dad is honored by Thudgate, did a superb job setting that one up!
(As he always does)
