We sat in the parking lot with our DS, as we live an more than an hour from the MOC's office, we arrived plenty early, and watched the kids arrive for their interviews. Kids sometimes don't realize how important appearance and first impressions are to folks. While this is our first go at it, we did see some things that surprised us. Kids showing up with crazy hairstyles, tshirt and jeans, miniskirts and thigh-high boots, wrinkled and rumpled shirts. One kid checked the wrong door, figured he was early and went back to his car. My DS walked over to him and directed him to the correct door.
DS showed up overly prepared. Interview was really fun. Said they were really friendly and all smiles the whole time. More relaxed than his B&G interviews. Didn't ask about his LOA or many of his activities. Mentioned his grades and test scores. Asked what he liked best about the academy, asked what his biggest weakness was, so basically a lot of the same questions he'd already answered before. He did say he told them as honestly as he could that he was decided on a major (everything excites him and with so many to choose from, it'll be hard to pick just one), and said that his weakness that he chose, he changed because he feels like he is maturing and his weakness changes.
Overall, he came out to the car in a great mood, very happy. Nothing to fear here, and no need to feel pressure. Just be yourself and be honest in every answer.
