Is anyone aware of whenever the first board results will come out? I was told that they meet this month in November, but I was curious as to when the results will actually emerge.
Thanks to all.

My recollection is that in the past results came out right around Christmas. You could probably confirm this by going through old threads and noting the dates when people posted that they heard the news.

That is what I remember from the last few years too... Closer to Xmas.

Agree. Last year, guys were getting calls starting mid-December or so. Christmas is a good realistic timeline.

My son got his call around mid-December last year -- right before Christmas.

OK thanks for the information. I was pretty sure that it was around that time because of the threads from a few years ago. I just wasn't sure it things had changed since then. Rocatlin, what was your son's stats since he received the scholarship?

I've got a package in for the early board as well Distancerunner3. The board started meeting last week according to my recruiter. I'm anxiously awaiting news. Trying to be patient, but its tough. And again, according to my recruiter, we should hear news early-mid December, certainly before Christmas.

I'll PM you when I get some time.

Hey I am in the same boat as disrancerunner3, would you mind allowing me to see stats?

Recruiter informed my DS that decision for early board would be out by mid-December.

Do yourself a little favor and don't get too hung up on stats. Stats will get you in the door. What stats won't do is help you once you're in the room so to speak. I will tell you that ACT, GPA, leadership figure into it, but with the Marine Option side the big thing is how your interviews go. Do those 2 or 3 Marine Officers you interview with see that you have potential? Would they advocate for you on a board?

Here is a great article written by a friend of mine that used to sit on the boards.

Physical fitness and leadership help. So do academics. The key thing from the stat perspective is balance.
