Hello, my son finished his interview with his recruiter back in the the beginning of Oct. The recruiter told him he would submit the interview by the end of the week. Communication has been very week with this recruiter and my son just now about a month later found out from the Chief that the recruiter has been on medical leave and that his application has still not been submitted. What do we do? The chief said he should have it in by the next board, but we are worried that the delay is causing him a smaller chance of getting a scholarship. Any thoughts or advice?

As soon as it was submitted our online status changed to board ready. I suppose you'll want to monitor that closely and keep in touch with this person if you don't see that happens in a few weeks, giving this week off for the holiday. Jan 5 is the deadline for the second board.

When you say "recruiter" do you mean an interview with the ROTC PMS (Professor of Military Science) and/or the ROO (Recruiting Ops Officer)? I also presume you are referring to Army ROTC and not AF or Navy? "Chief" could also mean a number of things. (CWO, CPO, etc.).

Some clarity of detail may help you get better advice.

I don't think we are talking about the Army ROTC process. I think the Navy actually has "recruiters" that help with the process.
