I'm very excited to say I received an appointment to Class of 2020 this morning!

I received an email and change in the portal, but was wondering if USNA sends a BFE in the mail as well?

I have yet to accept the appointment, but would anything come before I accept?

Additionally, I've noticed that USNA provided a pamphlet for appointees, but I cannot access it through my computer. Anyone have the same problem?

Congratulations! Yes - you will get a BFE with lots of information and a presentation folder for your appointment.
 
Congrats! Yes, there will be a BFE sent with documentation on how to accept your appointment. Eventually there will be a candidate packet that is released for appointees with more paperwork. It might not open for awhile.
 
Did you have an LOA and nom? If so, how long after the nom showed up in your portal did you receive appointment email/portal change?

Lingeringboat- Yes I received an LOA and nomination. My nom was dated 11/23. My portal changed to "pending review" 11/30. Appointment dated 12/2.
 
Now comes the bubble wrap...seriously. DS broke his wrist and had repair surgery in December after his appointment was received and ended up being medically DQ'd and then waivered. He accepted a spot at UVA just in case, and relinquished that spot in July once it was clear the wrist wouldn't be an issue during Plebe Summer. Have a backup plan and be sensible about physical activity. And enjoy the celebration :)
 
Congratulations yrangd! DS had exactly the same experience - LOA received in September, nom 11/23, portal changed 11/30, appointment today, also can not access the Message. Sent msg to admissions counselor and awaiting reply.

yrangd -- DS's Admissions Counselor told him you need to log on through Internet Explorer to be able to open the pamphlet. He tried it and it worked. Good luck!

Admissions Counselor replied that DS should log on to the portal/CIS using Internet Explorer. DS tried it and it worked! Hope that helps.
 
Bfe was 2-3 weeks after notification from MOC. It seems most people start wondering if the appointment was real! It takes a while but be patient! You are in!!!
