my application status changed to LOA-no med, no CFA, No nom, does this mean I have a letter of assurance and appointment pending these items?
 
Yes, you have an LOA and will receive an appointment once you get the CFA, medical, and nomination secured. Mine said the same until I got everything sorted out. Congratulations!
 
Great! My congressman gives out his nominations in mid January do you think I should tell him I got a LOA?
 
Definitely, I told my interviewer I had an LOA and he said that it super important to let them know because it certainly improved your chances of securing on nomination.

...and now the MOC can give the Principal Nomination to someone without a LOA if they have one to give away.
