USNA Portal Change

DS has been medically DQ'd since August for a knee injury from football. USNA application status has been "complete medical exam" next to Required Actions since August. DS confirmed with admissions counselor that indeed he was DQ'd but that is what USNA states on the portal when an applicant is DQ'd. Today portal says Congratulations your application is complete pending review. Next to Required Actions it says "None" and next to Special Instructions "None". Could this mean the waiver was granted? DODmerb still says "pending waiver review submission". Would really appreciate some feedback. Thank you!

I was also dq for about two weeks bc of a knee injury for football as well. Dodmerb takes forever to get their stuff in. We sent in all forms saying that I was ok the day that it said I was dq and it took 2 weeks to process and that was back in early September. Now they are swamped with all of the applications and are probably just catching up. I would assume if your portal says that you're done that the waver was granted. Usna is very quick but I would check dodmerb still until it says "qualified"

Thank you for your response. DS is just not sure if there was actually any true change or did USNA just changed the "Required Actions" to none because medical exam is actually complete but he is still DQ'd. Looking to see if any others that required waivers and received them saw the same change on their portal.

I was medically disqualified back in September. I received an LOA in December and a waiver followed shortly afterwards (in the mail). My application just said complete pending review for a few days with no required actions, and then my status just randomly changed to appointment. I was worried at first (maybe they were re-reviewing me or something) but it ended up working out. It's possible your son could receive an offer any day now if he has an LOA. Good luck!
