Can't believe I am asking this question after all this time. Is the Field Force interview the same as a Blue and Gold interview? I guess part of the question is, is that or some other interview a mandatory part of the application? Our candidate had his portal opened very late in the game and is now playing catch up.

Seems to be having a hard time getting an Interview set up with the person he was assigned to, and now he is down to the wire. He is saying he does not see a place on his portal requiring it. We thought our first Candidate had one, he was working closely with a USMA grad so we were not as plugged into the procedure.

A FFR interview is not required. I'm not sure if the Blue and Gold officer one is, but I did not have a FFR interview and I turned out fine. (class of 2020)

Congrats to you! 2020 is such an awesome Year to graduate.

Blue and gold is absolutely required for Navy not that you care, HA, Go Army (Hubby) ....wait a minute?......Go Navy (Son) , I want to get one of those cool jackets they talk about for the football games, 1/2 army - 1/2 Navy

In the past it was not required due to not enough Field Force members to guarantee access to an interview. I have heard USMA uses them though, when done, for subjective matters.
