Greetings,

Earlier today I logged into my application and found that listed next to my application status was "Conditional Offer of Appointment LOA." As you can imagine, I was very excited.

When I logged back in an hour ago just to make sure I wasn't playing tricks on myself (I know, very paranoid about this), I found that my application no longer said "Conditional Offer of Appointment LOA", but now said that my application status was "Complete Pending Review" as it had been for a while now.

I have received a nomination, and everything else on my application is finished and completed. I am hoping that I did indeed receive a Conditional Offer of Appointment - if anyone could provide some form of insight, that would be greatly appreciated. I really am trying to not let this get to me!

Thank you in advance.

Call your admissions counselor before he/she leaves (if she hasn't already). Otherwise, you will sit through the weekend wondering.

Call and ask- before they leave for the storm, if it isn't too late.

Unfortunately, I did not get to them in time.

Really hoping this won't end in disappointment.

I have the same situation, however I just received a call from my MOC notifying me that I was indeed admitted to the class of 2020. I was also worried, but I'm assuming that if MOC calls to let you know you're in, you're actually in.

Exact same thing happened to me, LOA appeared, then disappeared. I called admissions but they had already left for the weekend. So that's now three people who had the same experience. I got an email from my nominating source asking for my cell b/c my congressman wanted to call me -- I'm still anxiously waiting.

Combined with MABlue's experience I'll venture to say that we made it..... perhaps the LOA was an automated thing which was removed to allow the MOC to notify first and we just happened to catch it before the admissions folks could take it down.

Based on other responses, I am believing that we did indeed make it. Don't want to get my hopes up too high until it is official though. Hopefully it all turns out well!

I would also think you two made it, because if you look through a few of yesterday's threads, others also received calls from MOC's or an email from admissions letting them know they were admitted. I'm guessing that the board met yesterday, and they sent out a bunch of offers.

I had the same thing happen. LOA showed up and is now gone. I did receive a call from my MOC and he said I would be contacted by admissions on Tuesday with some sort of formal notification (he alluded to an email or phone call).

All of these other similar scenarios are really boosting my confidence!

Hopefully I get a call from my MOC on Monday confirming the good news.

It seems like some with LOA the system is going to "Complete Pending Review" and then in a few days to Appointed. It may be that y0ur nomination is being processed and they want a time delay to allow your MOC to notify you of your appointment.

I believe USNA want you to find out that you are appointed in this order of preference, 1) a call from your MOC 2) call from your BGO 3)BFE 4)portal update. There is a delay of a few days from mailing the BFE to the portal update, to allow the mail to arrive and give MOC & BGO the opportunity to call. The switch to complete pending review may be an issue with the system. IMHO it is good news. Call USNA when the storm breaks. I think it is good news.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. LOA showed up, then disappeared. The previous posts, however, are definitely reassuring! Hopefully I might hear something official soon

Way ahead of you; emailed my admissions counselor yesterday when I saw the switch from "Conditional Offer of Appointment LOA" to "Complete Pending Review"

The wait and anticipation is absolutely nerve wracking!

Same. I received no email, however MOC did call on Friday afternoon to let me know that USNA has given me an appointment, and that I should expect official notification(BFE?) sometime next week.

Most likely will be a status change on the portal first. BFE is about 10 days from then.

For those of you that got the portal update/ MOC call, when did you get your nominations and finish your applications?
