So I received the call from my MOC stating I have been offered an appointment to USNA, and that I should be getting the paperwork soon. Obviously I am thrilled!
I do have a question though. I am a college student, and am currently enrolled for the spring semester. I haven't had to pay any dues yet (my first payment is due in February). Would it be feasible to unenroll from the University before payments are due, since my college courses do not transfer to the Naval Academy? The reason I would want to do this is because of monetary issues; we are struggling a little bit right now, and if I make these payments, it would hinder my brothers trip to Europe in which he is studying music over the summer; he is extremely gifted musically and I would not want this opportunity to not be the best it possibly could be.
If I were to unenroll, would the Naval Academy withdraw its offer of appointment? The ideal situation would be to unenroll and work until I-Day and save as much money (I've been told extra money helps at USNA).
Any insight would be fantastic! Thanks in advance.
