Alright. Officially have given up hope for USNA. So when will the TWE start appearing so we can put the whole thing to rest, :) ?

Congrats to all the amazing young men and women who went through this journey and who made it.

Best Wishes.

Majority of appointments have not been offered. Many MOCs haven't released their nomination slates.

TWEs won't go out for weeks/months

You can always click the 'cancel' button on your portal and that will bring it to a conclusion if you really want closure.

This is how bureaucracies work.

@SCMids and Cerberi
We need a waiver. Since no waiver has been initiated the prospects do not seem to look that good..:(

Others will correct me but I believe MOC slates are due to the SAs end of this week or 31 Jan?

SAs will sometimes wait to see who gets what nomination and where you rack and stack on the slate before they decide whether to put a candidate forward for a waiver. Don't give up yet, but do put focus on your Plan B

This really isn't an answer to your question more of a candidate-to-candidate thing. Don't give up now. You have come so ridiculously far and the wait sucks, it sucks for all of us. Just hold it out and have a solid plan B. That's what I am doing. Stay strong dude.

No reason to give up at all. There is tons and tons of paperwork for the staff to go through. A waiver could be initiated any day. Don't get intimidated by what you see on this board. Take a look at the roller coaster thread from last year and see how many appointments came out during the mass mailings from Jan-March. No reason to give up hope. Until you have a TWE, you are in the game.

DS in the exact same situation - in need of a waiver and appointment. Got nomination just this morning (TX-24). Long way to go. Step. By. Step. (and take care of Plan B)

^^^ I agree. TWE's can go out at any time to candidates the USNA deems as clearly not qualified.

I feel your pain as I did not get a nom, but congratulations to those that did!! I will not be re-applying next year as my backups are very solid. My plan B/C is deciding on what college to go Yale or UPENN as I was accepted to both. I know that there people who l would love to be in my shoes right now, just as I would like to be in shoes of someone who got a nom!

Do you think it's proper for someone that wants to be a military LEADER to throw in the towel when things look bleak? Would YOU want to follow someone that did?
