Approximately how long does it take for the admissions board to process an application? For people who have received offers of appointment, when did you submit your final application? I know typical offers of appointment occur between March and February, and can even go out to April but how long does it usually take to hear back from the Naval Academy Admissions?

It varies. Some candidates submitted their complete applications by September and are still waiting. Others complete their package in November and hear by Christmas. There's no way to predict how long it will take. Expect late March and anything sooner will be a pleasant surprise. Best of luck to you.

How would you find out about acceptances/rejections? Would it show up on the portal?

The rejections come out mid April. It will show on your portal and you are notified by mail.

Thank you. How would you find out about acceptances? Mail only?
If you're worried about missing being notified or not immediately getting the notification they send, don't be. If you get in, USNA/your BGO/your MOC will make sure you know. I got mine by email back in Nov (I had the presidential nom so there wasn't an moc to call me)

I heard from my district MOC first, then received email/portal change from USNA 3 days later, and still waiting for BFE. I am pretty sure you would find out online or through the phone before receiving the physical acceptance letter, especially considering that the appointment can only be accepted online.

Absolutely right, my bfe took somewhere between two and three weeks after my email to get to my house
