I got off the phone with USNA admissions earlier today and I was told that they will be sending out a "Large wave" of admissions decisions tomorrow. That's what I was told and I will be checking my portal all day tomorrow. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that that is happening so that you all too can be checking your portals.

What prompted the information? Did you inquire or did they call? Just wondering.

Thanks for the info. Wondering if that would include NAPS invitations also?

I do not know about NAPS. I was calling to enquire about something in my application and she told me on the phone that they will be going out tomorrow.

USNA is opening late tomorrow, due to weather tonight. Wonder if that will impact this news.

If USNA is like USMA, the news won't likely reach the portal first. My sons West Point appointment didn't make its way to his portal until after the big envelope reached the house by priority mail. They give moc's a chance to call candidates first.

There may be a delay in updating the portal to allow for mailing to arrive

From my understanding, the primary means of communication has shifted to email and portal notifications. I am not sure if there will be hard copy letters for turn down decisions. Obviously, with appointments there is a letter and certificate in the BFE.

Given that appointments aren't all released at once, I wouldn't necessarily expect tomorrow to "rain" appointments. There are no "delays" in the portal for turn down notifications.

I think for USNA, you can be pretty sure that you will receive MOC call, email status update(when the portal updates), or both, before you actually get the BFE. I received the MOC call on Jan 22nd, and it took 14 days for the BFE to reach. Somewhere around 10-14 days after an MOC call/portal update seems to be the norm for receiving the BFE. Best of luck to those still waiting!

Sorry for the latent response, I am a student trying to keep up with my responsibilities. I asked the woman I was on the phone with if the decisions would mean portal updates tomorrow and she said that it would. I made sure to ask. There WILL, from the information I received yesterday, be portal changes. I do not know how the weather will effect this. Sorry again for the slow responses.
