My son received an appointment and will likely accept but is waiting to hear from a few other options. It is my understanding that he should have his TWIC when he arrives at Kings Point. The site stated a $128 fee and an up to 45 day time frame from the time of his scheduled in-person appointment at the processing center. For anyone who has experience with this, please share the expected timeline. How far in advance does he need to schedule his appointment in order to have the TWIC in time for indoc? Thanks in advance.

From the time my son applied for his TWIC card to the time we got it in the mail was a week... If you do the pre-app online it makes the visit when applying 15 min long apposed to probably a half hour-40min. Our TWIC office was only open 2 days a week and we were able to get an appointment quickly. He also already had a passport and used it as identification. I'm not sure if that changed the timeline of his TWIC approval... Hope this helps.. As soon as he sure make the appointment

he applied online for an appointment. Do not just show up or you will be in for a LONG wait as we were witness to. The process was prompt, smooth, and relatively and he got his TWIC within a 10 days. Ready to go if his status ever changes from the dread red hold.

Thank you! Will get the passport first and then apply for the TWIC card. I wonder if it makes a difference what part of the country you live in. What state are you?

Thank you? Which state was that?
