Web site changed today with USMAPS stuff and Grey Cards but, there is this:
USMA Reapplication Information (Available soon)

Do USMAPS Appointee's do the entire application over again (essays...) or is it an abbreviated process?

I know that when my son was in civil prep, he had to do the whole application over again with nomination apps also. I do not think that USMAPS applicants have to obtain nominations the second time around.

They definitely have to apply for MOC Nominations and if they don't get them, they can use other sources of Nomination. Our Congressman's Military adviser (USA Col. ret) walked us through the process at the November MOC Nominations interviews. We could hear the Board talking on speaker phones in the other room to Cadet Candidates about their Nominations. He explained that they were allowed to do that because they couldn't leave their Prep schools (USMAPS, NAPS or Civilian Prep) to be there.

I'm just talking about the resume, activities stuff and essays. Do they reuse that portion or it all from scratch?

right about going for Congressional Nominations again. What my daughter found was that for our US Rep and one Senator, her application was still on file and she needed only to update it. No new essays - just a letter to consider her again and new transcripts and test scores. She did her interviews by telephone.

I do believe he may have to redo the essays - my daughter did as an AOG scholar. You might want to check on that. He will send in his final transcripts anyway and should just have to update his file with new stuff.

He will retake the CFA there as well as the SAT's if needed. The re-application is not as involved.

Thanks JAM.

Any other past USMAPS folks out there?
