I know there are still a lot of appointments are on the way, but I wanted to ask at what point should I assume I didn't win my slate and that I'm now in the national pool? I know the first appointments are given to slate winners so shouldn't they all be out by now?

The answer is no one knows here (it varies) and I don't think you should even be worrying about it in the first place. There is no point to -- you might not know until April 15 on the outcome. Admission Boards go all the way until April.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing.

There are probably some who have the highest WCS, but may still need to get medical waivers. So until those issues are resolved, no appointment will go out. If the top candidate gets a waiver, he/she will get the appointment. If not, they will offer the appointment to somebody else.

We were told that our MOC does NOT specify a #1 candidate on his slate. They leave that to the Academy to choose so there are no hints at political favors.
