Just contracted today (official date on paper says February 25th 2016) but I gave them my direct deposit info today. I received a Type 2 ICSP Phase II (So I'm a 100, spring recipient) Does anyone know when the stipend will come or if it'll come anytime soon? It's a 3.5 year scholarship, so it will come I'm just not sure when.

I talked to my NCO and he said I will get stipend for March but never said when, because I know typically payments are 1st of every month and 15th of every month if I'm not mistaken.

Also, my spring tuition was already paid for so I suppose the reimburse me? I mean I took out loans to pay for my tuition so will they be reducing my loan payback?

Thank you.

My DS paid his tuition up front as well (AROTC). When his scholarship came through, they paid the University and then the college refunded via direct deposit the funds back to my DS. Of course then DS had to "promptly" repay the Bank of Mom & Dad.

Stipends are paid in arrears, thus the 1st paycheck for you would be March 15th.

Haven't received my stipend! Perhaps it'll be March 30th? Also, Pima, do you know if I get $300 book allowance? So would it be $600 total this month? Sorry, I'm living off $20 in my checkings right now (don't want to take out any more loans)

I contracted this semester (the first week of March) as well - just received the $300 for the book allowance today. But I've yet to receive my monthly stipend, which I don't know will come in as two separate $150, one total $300, or docked off partially because I didn't contract the first, but within the few days of March 1st. Perhaps @Pima can help me figure out the situation?

Anyhow, hang in there! I was surprised to see it come in today. Also, make sure that your direct deposit numbers and routing numbers are correct.

Interesting! I contracted 2nd of March, but on paper it says 26 of February. None of my fellow peers who contracted with me got their stipend or book allowance so I'm sure our checking/routing number is right.

Perhaps our NCOC was a little late on paperwork? Regardless I hope I get backpay, that'd be nice. I'm budgeting as much as possible until the pay comes in the meantime.

You're AFROTC correct?

@Phyzix Yup! Now in your case, I don't know if you will receive any portion of the 2/15-2/29 stipend (>=$150). You should get the full amount of $300 for this month and the $300 textbook allowance. As aforementioned, I don't know if I will receive the full amount, partial amount, or none for 3/1-3/14 period.

@mil.intel Ahh that'd be great haha! Now to figure out when it'll come...

I don't believe they do partial stipends, as they are paid in arrears as PIMA stated so I'll probably only get $300 stipend but in your case, it seems pretty close so I'd say they might give you $300 for the month (two $150 I think). Just waiting on an expert's two cents on this situation :)

When I didn't receive my textbook stipend, the NCOIC at my det prompted the system to pay me the next cycle. I'd start there and see if they can help with your situation. They don't disperse textbook stipends all at once, and mine didn't even come on the 1st or the 15th. It just kind of comes whenever HQ processes it

I agree with wingman, the textbooks don't get dispersed at the same time as the stipend, my DS never got his on the 1st or 15th, it would just show up in his account one day.

Stay on top of this with your NCOIC If you don't get a stipend on the 1st, than double check with them that all of the paperwork has been processed, and that includes to see if the checking account and routing number were inputted correctly. 1 number missing or inverted with another means it is floating out there somewhere. That happened to my DS.
