Like the title says, I'm just trying to find out if any AROTC cadets that are commissioning this year have heard any rumors about BOLC reporting dates and/or 1st Post/Base assignments? I had originally heard that the cadets were going to find out the finer details in February but that's already come and gone soooooo.....

We're just trying to plan vacations that are rather spendy (rafting the Grand Canyon) so having some basic information would be rather helpful at this point.

nada from DS. -sigh- and scholarship/SA applicants complain about the waiting...I guess it never ends...

Graduating in May. AD Infantry. I haven't gotten orders, just a report date in CCIMS from my HRA.

Keep an eye on your RFO, it will give you an idea of when you're going prior to orders coming in.

I have a question. Is the wait for ROTC commissioned graduates the same as it is for West Point grads? Or is the process different? The original post was for ROTC graduates, which is why I ask.

A coworker of mine has a daughter who just commissioned out of ROTC and she is still waiting too. I was just talking to her about it. Interesting how there is a break between graduation and starting your service. So was wondering if it is exactly the same for the SA graduates.

Is this the way it is in the navy, Air Force and marines too?

At USNA, grads get 30 days' "basket" or uncharged leave, and start reporting to ships, schools, training pipelines, Marine TBS, etc., in staggered fashion during the rest of the calendar year. In the meantime, they might be "stashed" at USNA helping with sailing program or other activities, do an internship over the summer, help a prof with a project, etc. They are active duty from Induction Day through USNA, sny stash and their years of officer service. No break. O-1 pay starts right away.

A friend of my son, though not at his school, is also going AD Infantry and found out today that he reports June 26th.
