I received my rejection email; however, Don't Give Up The Ship!

So for next year, will I apply for a nomination from my current representative, or the one over the district that Texas A&M is in?

My DD and DS both attended Greystone Prep in Kerrville, TX for one year of prep/college before earning their appointment to USNA and they both reapplied for the nom from our local Congressman in California. You might change your BGO to one that covers that area of TX but your nom will still come from your current representative.

The district you vote - probably your parent's district

Your home of record - rarely the school address where you live during the school year

Would this still apply if you voted in a different district than your parents due to moving out/working even if you move back after a year?

If your parents claim you as a dependent on their taxes, you are a resident of the district/state where your parents reside. That remains your state/district of residence for SA application purposes.

Most college students fall into this category. If your parents don't claim you as a dependent, you may be able to claim a different district/state of residence. There are experts at each SA on this issue and I suggest you contact them if this applies to you.
