DS was contacted today by MOC Ratcliffe. (TX 4) He received nominations to ASAFA, USNA and USMA.

He is 3Q (according to USMA so we assume he is to all 3).

Down to the last step.

Looks like we will be attending the USNA North Texas Blue Chip prospect dinner after all.

DS does not get all worked up about things but he was shaking as he was reading the email. He ran to show his Principal. If he gets in he will be the first ever from our tiny rural school.

Congrats. He is very fortunate to receive three nominations from his Congressman. Many Texas reps, including ours, won't do that. One academy nomination only.

Does he have a preference for which academy?

I think perhaps Air Force or Navy because they offer Aero or Astro nautical engineering (not even sure I spelled that right, guess I better learn)
However after attending the West Point top candidate event a few weeks ago he was most impressed with them as well. On his application to
the MOC he listed USAFA as 1st, USNA as 2nd and USMA as 3rd. He has not visited any yet but if he gets an appointment we will try and make that happen.

Very good. Good luck to him.

Congratulations to your son! Our DS heard from MOC Ratcliffe's office today as well and received an appt. to the USNA. Yesterday he heard from Senator Cruz's office and received a nomination to the USAFA.

Question....did he get nominations to all three from the same MOC?

My son is interested in applying to USNA, USMA, and USAFA but the application says only to list two choices. I'm wondering how to secure that third nomination as well.

Not all Texas Congressmen do it the same way. Best bet is to call the respective Representative's Service Academy Coordinator and ask how they do things.

Ours (also in Texas) would only nominate you to one academy, even if there weren't enough qualified candidates to fill a full slate of 10 for the other academies nomination slates. Their house seat, their rules.
