Does anyone know approximately how many spots are left in the class of 2020?

And does anyone know how many candidates are left?

I got a call from mom and when I finished I saw new email logo on my phone. I checked and sure enough it was the congressman's guy in charge of nominations. He forwarded me the email he got from West Point of receiving my appointment!
Congrats, and welcome! Can't wait to go to school with you, see you on R-Day!!!:)

There was a post last week on Class of 2020 Parents Facebook page that 795 had accepted their appointments.

Ok, here it is April 3rd, and still no word ... no TWE, no BFE, no portal update, no email/phone call. Looking for reassurance that good news may still come. I've also noticed that only 2 from Georgia (one ROTC candidate and one GA13 candidate) are only ones appointed to USMA on this forum -- obviously, I realize not everyone participates in this forum. The wait is excruciating, well at least it is for me; DS seems calm and collected. He does have an excellent Plan B so maybe that's why.

We received, finally, the letter staying my DS is 3Q'd and is now on NWL. He has a solid Plan C (Plan A was USNA, Plan B USMA, Plan C 4 year Army ROTC Scholarship). We're heading to visit The Citadel and Texas A&M - he'll decide once we return where he'd like to go. If he gets accepted last minute as USMA, then that's where he'll go! The waiting is difficult, but my DS keeps saying that getting into a SA would be 'icing on the cake' - getting nominations, and being on NWL is pretty impressive in his eyes! Good luck to your DS! Those calm and collected boys are amazing!

I'm with you! No updates on my portal, no TWE, NWL, BFE. Just loooong silence.

Hang in there- the strain of the uncertainty must be enormous if you allow yourself to dwell on it. If you didn't get a QNS or TWE, you're still in consideration! You're all remarkable young men and women to get this far!
