Well, it happened. DS got a speeding ticket after appointment. He has paid the ticket (from his savings account.) He knows it needs to be reported but neither he nor I can figure out who we should report this to. Searching the forums hasn't helped. Does anyone know who he should report this to?

Was the fine less than $300? Looks like it is not even required to report on SF-86. See attached.

Can someone help me with what all the abbreviations are on this site? Is there a list somewhere? Like what does DD or DS mean? As well as what is TWE?

Does any of his paperwork have a number to contact if status changes? I know PTRs are being sent shortly. Did his police records document have a number to call for questions? I would start there. Then either wait for PTR to see if it provides info or call his BGO for advice.

Yes, hopefully PTR will let us know. I just don't want this to jam him up later if we don't report.

The 'police records form' says '…if the response to the below questions change….notify the Dean of Admissions at…'

Hopefully, you save a copy of the form you had previously submitted.

Those forms had to be sealed and sent from the police department so I didn't think I would need a copy. Will you dm me the email address?

FYI - I had the officer sign it and I made a copy before placing original in a sealed envelope. Keep a copy of everything. If the PTR is 50 pages - USNA is about to get 60,000 pages of documents - they will lose or mis-file some of them.

'If the responses to the questions below change between the time of this initial inquiry and the admission of the applicant to the Academy, please notify the Dean of Admissions, US Naval Academy, Halsey Field House, 52 King George Street, Annapolis, MD 21402'

It is a good habit to keep a copy of all document in your procession because mistakes/misfile do happen in the personnel/admin office. I am speaking to the future midshipmen, Naval and Marine Corps officers.

@Cerberi, did you keep a copy of the BGO interview, teachers and counselor's recommendation too? :D

I have kept copies of everything (even had him print out sponsor form he filled out). Just thought the form from police department was to be sealed and sent by police dept. Going forward, will make sure he finds a way to get copies of those kinds of things too.

They said we should find a battle buddy. I think Cerberi needs to be my battle buddy! He/she has it together much more than me!

We are getting way off track... Doesn't your DD's school require waiving the rights to see the recommendations?

Contact your Admissions Counselor...they will know or be able to point you in the right direction.
