He completed his (3) Items initially required in his Portal as of March 9th.

DS now reports (2) Portal Changes today with two new sections inserted:

"PERMIT TO REPORT PACKET

Congratulations on accepting your appointment to the United States Naval Academy for the Class of 2020! You should be very proud of this accomplishment.

Your Permit To Report package has been sent to you in the mail, and you should receive it shortly if you have not already. Included in the Permit to Report package are multiple forms that must be completed prior to May 31, 2016 (or as quickly as possible if received after due date). As a supplement to the mailed package, the entire Permit to Report package is also available on the Permit To Report website in the event replacement forms are needed."

"SPONSOR PROGRAM
The Sponsor Program provides members of the U.S. Naval Academy's entering class an opportunity to develop and benefit from informal exchanges with civilian and military members in Annapolis and its adjacent communities. The Plebe Sponsor Questionnaire will be used to match each incoming plebe with a sponsor family of similar interests or with a requested named sponsor.

The Plebe Sponsor Questionnaire must be completed regardless of whether you wish to participate in the program or not. A date displayed indicates the date it was submitted to the Sponsor Program office. If you have questions concerning your Plebe Sponsor Questionnaire, please contact the Sponsor Program Office via email or call 410-293-7031.

Plebe Sponsor Questionnaire: Not Received (Submit Online) "

Do you have to turn in the first three documents to get the PTR and Sponsor questionnaire? I am away at college and I'm waiting to get my documents looked at by my town police dept. Just curious. Thanks <3

Not all DS's reports are recieved and his portal updated with the new info.

I have accepted my appointment and turned in all my documents. They have gotten my police and tattoo form and have sent in my proof of citizenship but they haven't logged it yet.

I would suspect the missing acknowledgment that USNA has receipt of the proof of Citizenship is pretty important. This most likely is the reason for no portal change, IMHO.

I suspect it has something to do with this, because the only form of mine that USNA has acknowledged receipt of is the Proof of Citizenship, and my portal has the link for the PTR and Sponsor Family survey

I suggest you all take advantage of the sponsor family program. Helped make plebe year so much better for DS --as a youngster he still spends time with his sponsor family! They have been the greatest gift!

Lingeringboat - our daughter has accepted her appointment, but has not yet submitted any of the documents on her portal... but her portal updated with the new info about PTR and Sponsor families today. Maybe give it a few more days, but you might want to check with Admissions just to make sure your file didn't get skipped - mistakes do happen. Either way, I'm sure it's an easy fix since you've already accepted your appointment. (and congratulations!)

NOTE: The link takes you to the USNA website and the documents all say Class of 2019. Maybe better to wait until you get the packet in the mail.

WoW! Congratulations, murf! Fun times!

I don't know diva, his letter says he has to show up at 6:30 AM on I-Day !!!

Boy, that kinda sucks for his two :sleep:younger sisters, but it is easier to park for me :thumb:.

So what to do after he gets dumped off in front of Alumni Hall?
@ 6:31 am, we could break out the lawn chairs  and watch them pouring concrete at the new Cyber Security Parking Garage across the street? That's always a lot of fun (at least for me)

 BUT WE ARE NOT COMPLAINING !!...Just thought 8:00 am was 'time on target' for I-Day? :wiggle:

Hey some of us will be on West Coast time so it will be even worse...you ARE complaining, but so will I once we actually get the packet.

There is plenty to do. There is a family BBQ, Mid Store, stalk the Plebes, walk around and soak it in, talk with other parents. Honestly it's a long hot day. You can always leave and go back. Some need the break. Most stay so they don't have to deal with parking, traffic, etc. Upstairs in Dahlgren has some nice couches and is always a good place to catch some quiet and catch your breath.
