Does anyone know about the OPAT test? Will class of 2020 ROTC scholarship recipients have to pass this physical fitness test in the fall or the current test? This looks like the CFA.

Story does a great job but heres the down and dirty.

The OPAT consists of 4 events, standing long jump, medicine ball throw, dead lift (using hex bar) and beep test.

The standing long jump is simple, standing with feet shoulder width apart, jump as far as you can and land standing upright. Scoring is the back of the heels.
The medicine ball toss is sitting down with your back and shoulders against a wall. Tossing a 4.4LB (2kg) ball as far as you can. Max is 10m
Dead lift is using a hex bar to dead lift, 60lbs, then 100, then 140, then 180, then 200, then 220 in order. Must complete one weight in order to get to the next weight, no skipping.
Beep test, running back and forth on a 20m distance and using a pacer that increases in intensity as time goes on.

I'll be taking the OPAT Friday and can post my take on it if you would like.

Edit: All cadets graduating after FY 2016 are required to take it as a commissioning requirement. Current FY 2016 cadets that need to take it are those branching Armor and Infantry.
