My boyfriend is going to be attending USAFA class of 2020. I will be coming to parents weekend. Will I be allowed to sit with him at the football game?

No. The wing stands together for the game. Last year, towards the fourth quarter, some squads dismissed early. At the minimum, you will be able to see him immediately after the game and anthem.

Try to get there early enough to see the wing come through the tunnel though -- that is a little crazy.

Like nothing I have ever seen before!!!:yikes:

You'll be allowed to leave. You have a to be there for the parade, of course, and then come back for the football game. You then have the rest of the weekend to yourself UNLESS you are under any restrictions or have duties. DD is involved with the Chorale, so she had to be there on Sat for a show. In any case, Parent's Weekend is really a show and tell for parents and loved ones. USAFA wants you to do this. :)

You'll get more information as we get closer to PW. Each squadron handles things a little differently, so you'll have to ask your squadron leadership about that.

Here's last year's schedule to give you an idea of what to expect. Note that everyone was released at 1730 Sat -- http://www.usafa.edu/superintendent/parentsweekend/pwSchedule.cfm?catname=Parents' Weekend

Can you go off campus with her?
She can stay in the dorms with you, just bring her on up....

jk jk.. don't do that. But, I like where your head is at, thinking about the boo before you're even at USAFA. Good luck with the long distance, it ain't easy.

Really - jbjtitleist was kidding -- do not even think about it. Girlfriend staying in dorms = immediate dis-enrollment.

Haha, I know she can't be in the dorms. Just wondering if we can go get something to eat in town.

You will have to be in uniform when out in public. You'll get the whole weekend off -- it will seem like an awful long time that will go by all too fast Most Doolies want to sleep fair amount. I believe (but double check) that you need to stay within 100 miles of USAFA, but can stay off base for the weekend. Hotels in the Springs fill up and are pricey -- and that also means you need to be in uniform every time you walk out the hotel door. We got a VRBO with our DD and that gave her a lot more down time. We BBQ'd and fix meals there so could chill and wear sweats most of the time.
