Change of Command for Cadet Command

Interesting stuff. I wonder if this change has anything to do with the somewhat confusing rollout of CIET in 2015 and 2016?

I think they hold that command for just a couple years, probably just time for a CoC, but you never know.
 
I doubt this is a negative... chief of staff for northern command is in my mind a step up. Certainly going from Ft.
Knox to Colorado Springs is a huge plus....
 
I don't think anyone aspires to be the commander of cadet command. Although I would love to see a career map that has the target of cadet command CG. I distinctly remember telling one of my commanders I wanted to be a PMS. She said that is an assignment you get on your way to retirement.

Logically, doesn't it make sense for the CG to have at least one or more PMS assignments? That's the equivalent of becoming a division commander without a company command.
