Happened upon this site/page the other day and wanted to share...

http://www.west-point.org/academy/malo-wa/educators/faqs.html

The first third to half of the site is admissions related. The rest is related to entry prep.

Also note that this must be an older FAQ (circa early 2000's) as you'll see from the terminology. Regardless, there's some decent advice offered for the admissions process.

Oh my - this document is 13 years old!
Admissions information changes yearly. Sometimes in mid year (as with the new PE SOE last year).
This document has some very outdated information that might mislead current candidates. While some parts of this document are informational, candidates are not going to know what is accurate now and what is not. In fact, there is some just plain wrong information in this document. Posting documents like this make me cringe when we try very hard to keep information on this forum as current and accurate as possible.

Please note: using the name "West Point" does not make a page official. While this site has been helpful in the past to some (before West Point created several official social media sites and updated usma.edu), but is not an official West Point site. It should not be used for official information.

:thumb: :thumb: This ancient information mentions Dean Dan Kaufman and I believe he was Dean from 2000-2005. Definitely not useful information to a candidate.

I agree. The official website for WP is here:

http://www.usma.edu/SitePages/Home.aspx

That has the current/accurate information ALL potential candidates should become familiar with. You have no idea who owns other WP related websites you might stumble across, how old the info is or even it is accurate.

Rather then posting really basic questions here like: "How do I apply?", candidates need to take the initiative to absorb the official info first.
