If anyone has last minute questions ask here...

I'll start:

1) Are 4th degree cadets largely financially independent with with stipend?

2) I received my ticket confirmation /receipt but not the actual ticket. Will I be sent one, or should I just check in online with SkyWest 24 hours before my flight?

Like always, thank you!

I can answer the first one - yes.
They are provided everything they NEED. After that, they learn very quickly how to budget.

If you have a confirmation number for your flight then you should check in and get the ticket.

4dig pay isn't a lot, but your overhead is really small...
Unless you want to fly to the Bahamas for all your holidays, you'll probably be ok.

Read through these threads.

You will find that yes, 4*s do get paid but a lot of their money goes to uniforms, etc. so the amount available to spend freely is relatively small. Budget wisely and you'll graduate with a pile of money.

If you got your ticket confirmation, get your boarding pass about 24 hours before your flight. Have your picture ID (DL, or state issued ID) and your boarding pass ready to go through security.

Take nothing not required/requested in your packet.

Good luck!

I was told by cadets that the underwear packed even though it says white can be solid black, it really doesn't matter. I packed black and I just want to make sure that's okay

So I brought a tiny suitcase and a backpack. All my stuff is in the case and only my boots are in the backpack. We can only report with a backpack tomorrow. What do i do with the suitcase and with the civies i wore today? Help!

Put everything into your backpack including your civvies. They will be confiscated but you'll eventually get them back.

As for your suitcase - is there someone that can hold on to it? If not, donate it to someone who can use it.

If it's a roller bag, do NOT bring it. That is automatic special attention.

Wear the boots. Insure that everything else you "packed" is actually necessary and fit it all in ONE bag. Ship the rest to your home (if you have no one else to leave it with). A back pack will be carried in your left hand. If you have a back pack AND a suit case, you will carry BOTH in your left hand.

USAFA83GradWife had the perfect answer. Everything in the backpack. Donate or otherwise get rid of the suitcase. If the boots don't fit into your backpack, carry them with your backpack. Chances are, if they see your boots, they will make you put them on right there on the footprints.
