Hi!
I submitted a preliminary application a while back (Approx. 6 days ago) The email the Academy responded with told me if i qualify, I would receive a candidate instruction application packet... How long does it normally take for them to send you something? I mean If I don't even make it past prelims that's just sad... :(

I can't find any information on the internet about this any help would be appreciated.

I recommend you worry about other things at this moment. 6 days is nothing to the academy and they are busy preparing for I-day. It will probably take a couple WEEKS for them to open your portal up. At least, that's what it was like for me, but I also filled my prelim earlier for NASS.

How much earlier do people fill it out? I feel like I'm too far behind, but given that, the Coast Guard Academy applications don't even open till next month...

Agree with this. One thing I can say with certainty, the Academy will move at its own pace - sometimes glacial, other times, it's NOW NOW NOW.

I am a re applicant, and I submitted mine in April and still have not heard anything back. Should I be worried? Should I contact my Admissions officer?

If you submitted a preliminary application in April and have not heard anything (whether to improve your SAT/ACT scores or designated an official candidate), then you should contact Admissions.

I filled mine out in April had not heard anything back. Last week I sent an email to admissions inquiring about my status. Turns out I should have gotten an email in June but for some reason I never received it but my portal was open. I suggest you do the same
