I was recently at the Naval Academy Summer Seminar. While I was there we took the CFA. I did very well on the exam, and I do not plan on retaking it. I heard it is possible to transfer the CFA score over to the Air Force Academy. How can I use that CFA exam for my Air Force Academy application? Thank you in advance for the help

My understanding is that the CFA at summer seminar does not count towards your application. This would be a question for your Air Liaison officer or admissions counselor to confirm.

The Naval Academy Summer Seminar CFA does count, and to transfer it I believe you contact your regional BGO in order to transfer it to your USAFA application.

I stand corrected.

Can double confirm that the NASS and SLE CFAs are record CFAs and can be used by other SAs as official CFA results.

The USAFA SS is the only CFA that doesn't count. The USAFA SS events were done out of order, and the breaks in between events were too long. It was mainly used as an instructional/diagnostic CFA.

Does anyone know exactly how you can transfer the NASS CFA results to the USMA and USAFA application ?

DS emailed someone, his admissions counselor I think, and he forwarded the scores. Not sure if they have shown up yet but it was just yesterday and its a holiday weekend :)

Page 14 of the Instructions to Candidates as of July 1, 2016 states: Candidates who have taken the CFA as an applicant for the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, or during their Summer Seminar program can ask them to email the results of the exam to USAFA_RSS.ORGMAIL@USAFA.EDU or fax a copy of the exam to (719)333-4200. It also says if you have further questions to call admissions at (800) 443-9266.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a similar thing with my CFA. I forwarded my CFA scores from USNA to that email by my regional officer. The link listed in the instructions to candidates class of 2027 did not work, so I asked them to forward my scores to the email provided in this forum (it was also listed in the 2026 version of the instructions) and they said it worked. It has been 4 days since I sent the scores.

How long does it typically take for scores to be processed by USAFA when transferred from another service academy? Should I reach out and ask if my scores have been received? If so, who should I call?

Edit: clarification that this forum's email did work

USAFA will process CFA scores after the candidate kit is submitted. You can contact your admission team blue or silver (the email address is listed on your portal) to see if they have received the scores, or if you have already submitted your candidate kit but the the CFA is still yet not checked off.

For those that transferred a CFA score to USAFA, what did you input for the CFA section (examiner name, examinar phone, examiner email)? The information for the person that would have proctored the CFA had you not previously taken it?

I put the person who first administered the CFA into that section and told them not to submit anything. I sent an email to my region officer (for USNA) and they sent my scores over.
