As my son is currently getting ready for CLC at Ft Knox (9th Reg.) I recall him telling me that he wanted to go to graduate school after getting his bachelors and earning his commission. I mentioned before on this thread that he wanted to go Military Intelligence in the Army Reserve component. He feels that he should study international security as it is a program and concentration that is being offered at many universities (graduate level) he has been looking at graduate schools as well. According to him this field of study can complement the training and experience he receives as an intelligence officer as well as a pretty good career. I am just not sure if going to graduate school right away is a good choice since MIBOLC will interfere with his studies (despite the fact that he may not get a BOLC slot right away)

APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE!!
Thank You

If he's going reserves, he can likely postpone bolc until after he completes grad school, assuming it's a one year program.

There is a time frame in which you are required to attend and complete BOLC - I think it's addressed in AR 140-9. A two or three year grad program would preclude you from attending and you'd be transferred to the IRR and discharged.
