I have two friends who are going up for the sup boards in September. They have have questions so I decided to ask for them. They have heard that you are not allowed to add hours to the package they are putting up for the sup boards. And they go off of the information you sent up for the regular boards. Our cadre are unsure of what is going on because "things are constantly changing". So I'm wondering if anyone who has went through the sup boards before. Were you able to add hours or a PPL to the package you went up with for the sup boards. Both are in the process of getting hours one is going to have his PPL before the end of August while the other is going to have 21. The one with the PPL is also retaking the TBAS in mid August. So any advice would be great.

Why are they going to the supplemental board? The reason I ask is that can also be a factor and why the cadre is unsure.

I went up for the sups last year. All I was able to do was change my preferences since I already competed on the feb board. If you didn't compete on the feb board then you can update hours to my knowledge. PM if you need more details.

They were not selected during the Feb boards. Cadre is unsure because our commander is away at FT, we just recently got a new Major who's been there for about two months. Our Captain is on leave and he's new to ROTC he was an academy grad and one of our NCOs just got married so she's on leave. And the one they were making it sound the way the sup board might be changing so they are unsure if cadets can add hours or change preferences.

Thanks I will!

Bumping this thread...When is the board and do we have to do anything to be put on it? During my DODMERB back in the day they incorrectly measured my sitting height so I wasn't technically qualified for CSO. We remeasured it at the detachment and it wasn't changed in time for the normal boards. When explained the situation our commander made it sound like we were just automatically put up for the sup board. Is that correct?

See my previous message...didn't see that you went through the process.

As far as I know you don't have to do anything to be put on it. And it is sometime in September from what my NCOs are saying. I would check with cadre to be sure though.
