I was invited to the September CVW for the USNA. I filled out the questionaire but still have not recieved a confirmation. The email said not to contact admissions until 10 days after recieving the initial invitation, but it has been 9 days and spots are limited.

Has anyone else had this problem?

The invitation said you should receive notification on status no later than ten business after signing up. So nine days ago was the 23rd which was a Saturday, and business days are only M-F, so with the 10 business days you should hopefully hear from them by the 5th.

Also check your email spam folders. Some have reported issues with that in the past.

I have not received a confirmation either; I filled out the questionnaire ten minutes after I received the invitation. Don't worry!

I received my confirmation for the first set of dates this morning so they're probably sending out now

Everyone who has gotten the invite, how far are you along with your application? It's says somewhere that it's mostly about the completion but was wondering if anyone is not that far along? Just asking because I'm done with everything and if that was the reason why I was invited or because they see me as a good candidate. Thanks

When I got my invitation I had already completed the Personal Data Record, the Candidate Activites Record, and had my English teacher LOR.

Had my interview last week too, but that wasn't in the system when I got the invite.

We are new to all this so please bear with my questions. Am I to understand that an invitation to a CVW is not issued to all candidates? When my daughter received hers we assumed that it was sent to everyone and since funds are limited did not plan to attend.

If there is an affordability concern, I suggest you contact admissions to ask about the possibility of financial support for the trip. My daughter's CVW airfare was covered by Navy last fall (her junior year). Very nice of them! I think this sort of campus overnight visit is invaluable because it gives the applicant a real feel for daily life at the Academy.
