Does anyone know if the ACT writing score on the class of 2015 profile is purely writing or the writing/English composite as years past?

Son making decision to retest on ACT or concentrate on SAT subject area tests. He is trying to see where he falls in writing but thinks it used to be writing/English combined. Now that the writing is 1-36 (or was since it is changing back) - we aren't sure!
Thanks!

When I applied(I'm a member of the class of 2020) I don't remember there even being an option to submit SAT subject areas leading me to believe that they were a non-factor for my year's applicants. Unless something has changed, I would guess that this is still the case and that the SAT subject tests hold no weight in the USMA application process.

The subject area tests are for Plan B. :)

Son prefers USMA and has been thinking of nothing but since SLE. He tore his labrum at SLE and had shoulder surgery 1.5 weeks ago. Plan B is sadly needed!

Do you remember if it was combined English/writing? Congrats on being a member of 2020!

Combined English/Writing. The new test didn't come out until 2016, so even many of the Class of 2020 didn't take the new test.

Talk to RC about testing strategy and whether to retake ACT and any value of subject tests. Don't rely on charts - those numbers include athlete, minority, gender, and prior service goals. Only RC will be able to give you reliable advice.

Son decided to retake the ACT with writing. Leave no stone unturned!

Thanks!
