I'm an AS400 this year who was set to graduate this spring and I am under a 2.5 retroactive scholarship worth about $20,000 and have made roughly $7000 in stipends. When filling out my form 53 I took my advisor's advice and took him at his word when he said my plan was ok to graduate on time. Come to now find out that I need to take 2 additional writing intensive classes to graduate and meet my DOC. The problem that I then face is my course load, I'm currently taking 20 credits now and am slated to take 17 next semester. I can handle the 20 credits but with the two additional credits it really puts me over the limit. I was wondering if anyone had any advice/thoughts/or experiences with moving a date of commission or willfully giving up a scholarship? I plan on talking to cadre tomorrow as this problem is ongoing.
