Failed to upload picture

Basically, there was a requirement for the senator nomination to upload a picture. Apparently, I did not upload a picture but I have all the other checklists for the nomination application. I submitted all my essays, transcripts, etc. Will my application be thrown away because I failed to upload a picture? I know it does not look good because it might show my irresponsibility, but will they at least consider it? Thank you!

What did the office say when you followed up by phone call or email to correct the error and ask if you could send the photo by separate email? Time for courage to ask, see what they say. Think through how you will express it - that you inadvertently omitted the photo - and you wish to correct that, what do they advise you do, and express appreciation whatever the answer.

If they say no, too late, you will have learned an important lesson about attention to detail, and must hope for the best.

If they say, yes, send it, then leap into action, count yourself fortunate, and hope for the best.

Asking for opinions here is not the most direct route to a solution. When things like this happen, through your fault or just because, don't give up until all hope is gone.

It is generally better to commit sins of commission (taking action to correct), in this case) than sins of omission (being passive).

Good luck.

You're welcome.

Monday morning - get your thoughts together and ask. Don't spend any time on "my dog ate the homework" reasons, just be brief, direct and polite. We have all sent something without the attachment, or missed a response on a questionnaire, but the key is not to let it happen too often.

I do recognize you probably have school, but perhaps you can work with the guidance counselor to use that quiet office and miss a few moments of class, or get it done before the MOC office closes.

I do recommend the phone over email. It gives you practice for future live conversations, and you'll have an answer sooner. Have a pen and piece of paper handy, or a device, so you can write down the email address, and confirm it over the phone to ensure you've got it right. I apologize for assuming you are a person of your generation who's generally used more texting and emailing than actual telephone calls to conduct routine business, hence the down-in-the-weeds advice. I'm from the generation that's accustomed to jumping on the phone to conduct business through voice-to-voice live contact, though I am equally conversant with other, newer, channels as a matter of business acumen.

Let's hope your forthright, polite, appreciative request elicits the desired response!
