We live among a VERY diverse population but my DD is a little stumped on this question. I feel she can talk about what she lives with daily among her diverse school and community population but she wants to talk about something more specific. Only problem is she hasn't experienced any difficulties or anything unique in her life to date. Any ideas?

Best I can offer is for her to articulate her ideas as best she can. Research...ask teachers...friends...it is her essay question to answer. Bout the most we did is my wife offered to proof read our sons essay questions. Don't know if they took her up on that...

Best of luck to your dd!

JWP gives a great example. They are looking for content of your DD character. She can certainly give life experience living in a divers community and attending school. Give examples of conflicts in her life and how she de-escalated with resolutions for incident will show leadership.

Some ideas are international travel, foreign service trips, and International Baccalaureate Degree.

What exactly does that specific question say on the application?

My daughter had a good friend experience oppression and wrote about about how impactful it was for her to see what her friend went through. It was very moving for me to read and I thought she would struggle with this question.

The question asks why will you be successful in working with leaders, peers and subordinates of a gender, color, ethnicity and/or religion different of your own.
I'm hoping she can come up with a conflict and resolution for this one.

Great ideas. Looks like she can answer this question from a broader point of view then what she initially had planned.
Thanks
