I have read that everyone's application status says it is "complete". However, my application only says "submitted". Is something wrong? I also did not receive an email saying I have completed the application.

Submitted is at the top of the list, application complete is towards the bottom of the list. After the submitted got checked off, it took some time for our transcript and SAT to get checked off. Also, even though it says OFFICIAL transcript on the list, we submitted an unofficial one and that eventually got checked off too. If you're not a transfer college student, once everything in the top two sections get checked off (excluding the supplemental stuff), you should get the Complete. However, it did take about a week after submitting the application before we got the "complete," probably because they need time to process the SAT scores and transcript. Look and see if all other categories are checked off or not first, especially all the recommendations. I also believe it depends on how quickly the individual AO gets to it. Some regions may be busier than others??? We still haven't gotten the two week notice email either. I hope this helps you to relax a bit!

At the bottom of the list there is not a "complete". All my recommendation letters are completed including my PFE and everything. Will it take time for it to transition into a "complete"? The only thing I can imagine causing my status to only show "submitted" is not having my Official ACT scores, however I submitted them with priority on October 2. I imagine they should have reached the academy by then? Sorry for the panic I just don't know if the CGA will review my application for Early Action.

Even though the deadline is October 15, as long as I have my application submitted and recommendations complete everything should be ok? Sorry for mass amount of questions I appreciate your response haha

My DD didn't take ACT, so I'm not sure how quickly they send the scores, but SAT score takes 1-2 weeks to reach schools if send No previous scores. The test score was the last unchecked item on our list. After that was checked off, it changed to "complete" within a day. If they didn't get your test score, that must be the reason.

It's strange you're not seeing complete at the bottom. Submit doesn't transition into complete. Submit is checked off and remains checked off. The complete status appears at the bottom from the beginning but without a check. Did you scroll down all the way to where it says Status?

And yes, I believe as long as you did everything you possibly could by 10/15, I wouldn't worry. If your test score status doesn't change soon, I'd contact them to confirm.

Don't make this mistake....especially if your status has not changed so you better check on this. We found out letters of recommendations were not submitted before the 15th. The letters were accepted but the application was not reviewed during the first round. Make sure your teachers counselors get those in. As a parent I stood back to let DD get on the letters but it is very reasonable a young person will feel they are pressing for the letters. My conversation with DD...this is your future and you picked poorly for the choice of recommendations. Your request and deadline was given they obliged to have it done and this is where you sit...guess you are going regular action.

Our counselor and teacher were aware of other SA deadlines but didn't realize the EA application requirements for CGA . Our school does not have many students who apply for SA and ROTC type scholarships so it was up to my DD to educate them about the whole process. 17 and 18 year olds sometimes lack this type of assertiveness when requesting for letters of recommendations and other components of the applications. Again I felt I can search these forums for ins and outs but it is not my job to make sure my kid carries them out.

Are you looking at the very end of the application checklist? It is the section after the "Supplemental Materials" section which comes after the "Required Recommendations" section:

Status
☑️ Application Complete - Ready for Review
☑️Cadet Candidate Evaluation Board Review Complete

You're probably referring to different page. Everyone is talking about Bears Den page, you're referring to the application page. Try the Brears Den Login tab at the top of USCGA homepage. Once you go in, look for the APPLICATION CHECKLIST, bottom right. Don't go into Application page. Let me know if you have luck with that.

You have gone too far or have a mobile version- you need to go back to the page when you log in or start from scratch with only www.uscga.edu and no links. Click on bears den log in. Sign in then you should arrive at the home page with photos across the top for Admissions, Academics, Athletics, Clubs & Activities and a "welcome," with your name. Once you find that page, scroll down and you will see the checklist on your right. Then look for what I described above.

thank you for the help both of you. It says that I am missing the body weight and measurement? Wasn't that included with the PFE instructions? What should I do?

I also submitted that with the 'personal information' tab but it did not register?

I'm also having the same problem as hellofriend. My CFE and height/weight scores were sent Wednesday and are not in Bears Den yet

My DD's were submitted Thursday. CGA site says it could take up to a week to be processed and show as Received. The application page shows the date and time it was submitted, just not checked off yet because admissions has to review is our understanding.

Same time frame, but both weight/height and PFE were processed at same time. I think it is odd that hellofriend's PFE was checked off without the weight/height that is why I think they may want to ask.

My PFE administrator submitted it 9/19. For some reason they still haven't processed my scores and it has been over 2 weeks. If something was wrong I would imagine that they would contact me about it. I guess I will call tomorrow to make sure I will still be eligible for early action Thank you all for advice!
