Wanted to create this thread to see if anyone has heard from their VA MOCs regarding interview selections, rejections, appointments or anything?

Looking back at threads from previous years, mid-Oct is when Sen Kaine sent out some rejection notices and Sen Warner sent out interview notices.

Thanks and best wishes to everyone.

DS just got an emailed letter from Rep Connolly, District 11, asking him to schedule an interview with his Service Academy Advisory Board.

My DS just heard from a neighborhood friend that she received a rejection letter from Senator Warner.

Nothing here yet. But your post did have me running to the mailbox when I got home last night. So in the case of Warner, I will take it as no news is good news...at least for now.

That's how I interpret it. No news is good news. That seems to be the pattern for Sen Warner. Rejection notices first, then interview notices thereafter.

BTW, the rejections were emailed. Not snail mailed......

No emails received from Sen. Warner and Sen. Kaine as of yet . I'll keep you all posted.

I have heard one person received a full nomination from senator warner for the naval academy. Anyone know when Senator Kaine sends out notices?

Are you sure? I don't think Sen Warner's board has interviewed yet. I may be wrong, but it sounds too early to receive nomination decisions. Especially if Sen Warner's board talks to the boards of Sen Kaine and other VA MOCs.

Also, DS has not heard from Sen Kaine yet.

As far as I know, 3 people got rejection emails sent from warner (can confirm as I have seen the emails) and 1 received a nomination. It sounds very early, maybe it was for an interview? But it was definitely not a rejection letter.

I would bet that the "not a rejection letter" was a letter to schedule an interview.

The interview dates offered were at the end October and the first week in November. The email said that there were over 600 applicants.

Congrats, which service academy?

I was there for West Point.
There was three interview boards so that at every moment there was three people being interviewed.
The other two people in my time block were applicants for Air Force and Navy.
I also met someone as I was entering the building who has finished his interview for Merchant Marine.

So I think Comstock's district (VA-10) is in the middle of having interviews for every academy.

Any tips for the interview. Did the panel ask challenging questions and how many? Were the panel friendly or very formal. How long did the interview take?

Did you hear from Senators Warner or Kaine yet? I assume you chose WP as your #1 in their applications.
