Just wondering how many are 2013 appointees and/or how many are now attending? Seems Oregon is one of the least states (in # of students)represented at Kings Point but I could be wrong.

We're from rural Oregon.

they are heading there for a visit now....
 
We are close, but not quite Oregonians. My son just got his acceptance to KP from the great state of Montana. We're a little land locked, but so what? Any other Montanans going to Kings Point with the class of 2013?

I got to meet KPWEHOPE this past weekend at KP. Family seemed to like the campus. How did the Candidate like it?
 
Son's visit went great, he loved it. He wanted to stay right then! Everything was actually better than we expected. He really enjoyed his overnight, loved the morning classes he went to with his plebe. He thought the food was.... well, not as bad as it could be. He felt very comfortable and at home there, and of course the Cookie Cafe was awesome. He is more excited than ever and can't wait until July 9th.
 
Not quite Oregon - but right next door

Our son's been accepted from Idaho. We are heading back to visit on Monday for the orientation.

We are from Washington State, and son has just accepted his appointment to KP. You are not alone in the Northwest, though USMMA seems to be a pretty well-guarded secret around here!
 
We need some kind of Parents Association way out here in the great NW! Any idea guys? The one listed on the USMMA website hasn't been updated since last year.

My son and I will be going to the cascades the end of May..near Stevens Pass...Mike will be at KP July 9th, class of 2013. We're from South Florida and need some forest and mountains.

Mt Rainier is AWESOME.. but Mt St Helens is good to.. and cant forget the Peninsula.. the Olympics are often forgotten about.
 
Oregonian

My youngest son has been accepted class 2013 . . . my oldest graduated class 2003 . . . we're from Beaverton. There used to be a parent's association in Oregon - haven't heard a word for years though.
 
Welcome and congratulations to you son coastymom! :thumb: Kpwehope and I thought we were the only Oregonians with kids heading to KP. I'm actually 30 minutes from the Southern Oregon Coast. Maybe you and kpwehope can connect since she's near where you are, she may not have seen this thread yet.
 
I'm actually another Oregonian Plebe Candidate for the Class of '13. Kinda a weird situation but I'm staying up in vancouver, Wa until I leave for Indoc!
