Is there a post somewhere of common abbreviations used on this forum. I'm going crazy:confused:tryin to piece this stuff together. ocs, dcss,dco,ldc,cspi,dod,bgo,naps,moc. Well...you get the idea. -officer

Here is a helpful site:
http://www.dtic.mil/doctrine/dod_dictionary/

The ones from your list that I know:
moc = member of congress
naps = naval academy prep school
bgo = blue and gold officer (for USNA)
dod = dept of defense
ocs = officer candidate school

Soon you will be speaking the language too. :wink:

It really helps if you ask these questions in the threads/forums where you find them and when you read them. Each service has slightly different lingo.

LOL LOL LOL :shake::shake::shake:

I've been a nurse for over 20 years, but just started working for the Veterans Administration. Puhleeeese, don't ask me about federal shorthand maneuvers. I do know a few. MOC = Member of Congress. BGO = Blue Gold Officer, NAPS = Naval Academy Prep School. DOD = Department of Defense. I wonder if the DOD knows what LOL means! :shake::yllol::shake:
