United (an approved carrier) called me this morning to inform me that our flight (and son's flight which was booked through SATO) has been changed. It is not convenient, and adds a stop with a long layover. Lucky us. We want to change the flight, while remaining on the same flight as son if possible.

Here is my question...what other airlines does CGA (SATO) use? Is it exclusively United? I don't want to make another reservation until we can get son's arrangements firmed up on Monday morning, but online I have found some good deals with Continental and Delta. Just wondering if there are other options out there.

At any rate I can't really do much til Monday, but thought I'd see what you all think.

Thanks!

SATO would be the best organization to ask that. It's more than you would think, and certainly more than they default to.

that's what I will do....it's frustrating. we had it all worked out. and the kicker...they added a stop, a long layover and no price break? no thanks United! :unhappy:

Thanks again LITS.

Last year, when my daughter flew home from USCGA after orientation, she flew United. When she went to Marion, she went Delta. Both were arranged thru SATO.

SATO is the government's travel agent. We use them at my work with the fed. gov't. The gov't gets contracted rates on certain flights. So it can be any of a number of different carriers.

Thanks to everyone who posted a response. Will call tomorrow morning and see if any of the cheaper carriers are on the list. Here's hoping!

The contracted carrier varies by departure/arrival destination, but SATO should be able to offer some alternatives given the airline changed your routing.
