When should we be receiving the official candidate number if you were accepted to NASS?

The candidate number was on my letter I recieved confirming my payment.

So, I guess it depends on if you have the confirmation letter or not.

I still haven't received a payment confirmation.. should I be as worried as I am?

I have my candidate number, but how do I log on to my account? I never made/got a password.

I'm not sure, either. I was wondering the same thing. I have a feeling that they'll send us more information on that later in the summer, maybe?

NASS Candidate Number

My son just received his letter today that he was accepted for NASS Week 3. The Candidate Number was under the salutation.

Dear ____________,
Candidate No: XXXXXX

Then the body "Congratulations.............you've been selected."

Perhaps you overlooked it?

Check your PMs.

Chanmachine,

Check your PMs.

I sent you a PM with the "keys to the kingdom" about an hour ago...:thumb:

Im sorry I am new to this forum, what is a 'PM'?

I was accepted into NASS 1

Last year I got my confirmation for NASS, then I got a different letter saying that my prelim app had been started and that my candidate number was ######. The NASS letter came first for me. Don't worry, it'll come, and you have plenty of time to do the online stuff you need the passwords for.

"PM" is the forum's acronym for "private message." Make sure you're logged in to your account and check your private messages, in the Welcome section in the upper right part of the screen, above Quick Links and Log Out.

If i call the admissions office are they able to give me my CIS pw?

usna15: Are you applying for class of 2014? Were you accepted to NASS for this year? Your screen name makes it seem as though you would be going for 2015.

If you're currently a HS junior (USNA Class of 2014), you should receive a letter from USNA with your candidate number close to the same time you receive(d) notification regarding your application to NASS. If you did not apply to NASS, your letter should arrive ~6-8 weeks after you fill out the USNA preliminary application. You will only receive a candidate number if the info on your NASS/preliminary application shows that you are in the range of grades/test scores that woulld be competitive for getting an appointment.

If you are a HS sophomore (Class of 2015 applicant), you cannot apply until next year's NASS application comes on line. If USNA does it the same way as in the past few years, the NASS application should be available 1 February 2010.

The short answer to your question: if you are applying for 2014 and you applied for NASS OR submitted your preliminary application more than 8 weeks ago, then a call to the USNA CGO about getting a candidate number would not (IMO) be out of line.

Sorry, usna15. For some reason, I thought you were asking about a candidate number, not the CIS pw. Yes, the CGO should be able to give you the password, although it should be printed on the same letter that gave you your candidate number.

it's no problem. I am a highscool junior(class of 2014) and i was accepted into NASS session 1.

i'll give the office a call, thanks for the help!

i was not accepted to NASS

when should i recieve my candidate number?
(i already have my log-ins for air force and army)

should I call admissions?

I was accepted to Summer Seminar last year and received my candidate log in information on May 16, 2008. I know admissions was a little behind this year for the class of 2013, this could be why it's taking them a little longer to send out the log in information. But don't worry you should be receiving them soon :) Good luck and try to get as much completed as soon as possible! :)
