Okay, so I may have gotten myself into a sticky situation here. I'm big on lifting weights, and some friends of mine started taking a new supplement. Simply put, it's pretty effective in terms of muscle growth, etc. So I've been taking it for about 2-3 weeks now, and I'm beginning to think that it might be a "steroid", or have some steroid like ingredients or something. Actually, it says on the bottle that is has one "pro steroidal compound".

Now you may be thinking, "why in the world would you even use such a supplement?" Well, 5-6 of my good buddies have been taking it for a while too, and several of them will be playing college football this summer. But most importantly, a good friend of mine, who is an amazing personal trainer, has his own gyn and is a massive body builder (and a great man) recommended this product to my friends. So I was thinking, would he really recommend something potentially harmful and disqualifying to new college football players?

The reason I'm so concerned is because of the urine test I will have to take this summer. Now, I don't know if they actually check for "steroid" use or if the test is just for street drugs, but I'm real worried that I might have made a mistake.

The supplement is called "Tren 250", and as far as searching the internet goes, I haven't really found anything helpful. Any input is greatly appreciated, but please know that I'm not a cheater, and I never choose the easy path. Please don't criticize, just help.

Thanks

The urine test conducted at West Point is the same urine test conducted by all components of the Army. (Active, RC, Guard) That test does not cover steroids. However, if your commander has a reason to suspect steroid abuse they can order another urine test to be sampled which can detect steroids.
Source: I am an enlisted soldier in the National Guard who has undergone random urinalysis and many briefings on the topic.

Huah59,

To be to the point, I would say quite taking it. Googled it, and it says "legal steroids". Pretty much, I would just say don't use it any more. Also, if you get admitted into an academy, you can't use them anymore, supplements aren't allowed. Sorry, I can't say whether you would pass/fail the drug test. Hope that helps.

You are not allowed to take supplements during Cadet Basic Training. The GNC at the PX does quite a brisk business selling supplements to cadets. I'm not advocating the use, just making sure the info is correct...

I think we have another troll here especially since this is their very first post.

I also looked at a review for it, and one of the warnings was "Not for use by individuals under the age of 18 years."

With no offense intended towards anybody(just stating my opinion toward this subject), I still think the best way to get ready for West Point physically is to stay away from all these muscular supplements, increasers, ect. I personally think the best way is just to exercise(a lot) and have a balanced and healthy diet supported with lots of water. This way, you don't have to worry about this kind of stuff ever happening. Anyways, just like momof2cadets said, you can't use supplements during BCT, so it's just better to train without this tren 250 instead of being accustomed to it, and then being without it for 7 weeks. Hope everything turns out well anyways.

Maybe, but many people just lurk and don't make an account until they need information. My first post was a question if memory serves me.

Stop taking it, and if asked be open and honest about it. You're not under the Army's thumb yet, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

True but I'm just saying with the number of troll attacks on the forums lately, it's just a little suspicious.
