I fully understand and done my research. I actually may want to go in the Reserves and get my Master's in the future. By the way, do you know how ECP scholarship recipients are chosen on the National ROTC board? And how competitive is the scholarship? Thank you.Make sure you understand what you are signing up for. Are you prepared to serve in the National Guard or Army Reserves when you finally commission. Do you understand that you will have to attend summer training 2 years earlier than a normal Army ROTC Cadet. Do you understand that you will spend two years attending College after you commission, serving as a non deployable, “unbranched” Second Lieutenant. If you are good with all of those things you have a good chance of getting into MMI.
NewI looked at your stats, they'll probably drive over to your house and hand you the scholarship to Marion. Ok that might be an over statement, but with your stats you shouldn't have a problem getting the ECP Scholarship.
Just curious, what is it that interests you so much in the ECP program?
And how do you know my stats?
Yeah, I realize it. Getting my commission does sound nice though! But if I do 4 year ROTC, than I'd rather go activeAnd how do you know my stats?
You posted them on this board.
You realize that you can go to an 4 year university, complete ROTC, still commission into the Reserves/National Guard, and still complete a Masters.
Even if you do get the ECP Scholarship you will still need to transfer to a 4 year school to complete your degree, a scholarship is not guaranteed for your final 2 years of school.
That is perfectly fine! Thanks for your insight! If you are applying for the ECP at the same time, I wouldn't count on getting the National Scholarship, ECP will probably grab you up first, then you're out of the running for the National Scholarship.
