Hello

I was wondering how they convert your results from the CFT into points? I did a practice test the other day and want to know how well I did and where I could do better.

Mile: 5:37
Pull-ups: 11
Push-Ups: 52
Sit-ups: 67
Shuttle Run: 9.2 sec.
Basketball Throw: 59ft

Thanks guys

nice mile! I think the hardest thing is trying to do everything in one sitting

And in the correct order.

When placing the 1 mile run last as instructed, rarely will you come close to a personal best.

The cumulative effects of the test (fatigue) is a factor in the total test score.

Sorry, I put them in the wrong order. I really did them just like the Candidate Fitness Assessment Instructions requires: Basketball Throw, Cadence Pull-ups, Shuttle Run, Modified Sit-ups, Push-ups, and the mile last. I have been in Track and XC for 3 years and I am a pretty good runner (ran the mile at 7000ft also). My upper body strength is not very good though. I really need to work on pretty much everything but the mile.

Thanks guys

Haha you have the total opposite problem I have. I a good upper body and a good core and can do that stuff but my endurance really needs to be worked on.

eh my mile is only 6:15 and that was just a personal best. a whole minute from the max....

Mine is low 7's high 6's. The last time I ran my mile I got 6:59. But that was like 2 years ago.

I have lived and trained at high altitude for 6 years, but neglected to do much but run and now I am wishing that I would have worked on more than just running. I always thought that the extra muscle mass would slow down my mile and 5K times.

Do any of you guys know the point conversions for the CFT? What would my score be?

How do you get that, are there point values assigned to each section? I am assuming that the max score is 500?

Max is 500.

5:30 mile =100
95 sit-ups = 100
72(ish) push-ups = 100
18 pull-ups = 100
shuttle is something like 8s for 100 I believe.
