I'm having my interview in the near future and I'm not really sure what to expect. I'm really quite shy and I've never really had an interview. Do you guys have any interview tips or practice questions?

There's got to be at least three or four threads and tons of posts devoted to ALO interview prep. Scan through the forums.

Here are some valuable links for the ALO interview. These links are for scans of the evaluation sheet that ALO's use for the interviews and then submit to the academy. Take a look at them and become familiar with some of the things that they will be looking for.

Hi!

Well....not quite.

While the categories are pretty accurate; I have NEVER seen this form in my 15 years as an ALO.

Yes, we fill out an AF FORM 4060 but it's electronic and is NOT one of these forms. There are not this many categories on the current form but the "gist" of these forms IS accurate!! They will give you a VERY good insight into what the academy is asking US.

Be interesting to know where these forms come from.

BsaEagle contacted me (we've chatted in the past) and I must tell you: his source is UNIMPEACHABLE! I know his source.:thumb:

I'm thinking that "the USAFA folks" had this form up there and we ALO's had one similar...this might be the one they were using for their evaluations; I don't know. Suffice it to say: it's an excellent resource for ALL to check over.

As an ALO, I could/would not post a 4060 on the site...probably a "no-no." BUT...I can comment on this one. VERY ACCURATE!

I don't mean to be obnoxious, but is there any chance you could post a copy that was a bit clearer? You've posted a very valuable resource, but I'm having a hard time reading it....Thanks.
 
after you click on the link, just below the form there is a blue "Download Now" button. It downloads into my photo viewer as a jpeg image. Much easier to read that way, and you can zoom in on any areas that are unclear.

Hi again,

I know there is a lot of controversy over this topic, but I want everyone to have access to what I have access to. The link below is to the final draft of the 2008 contrails (can't get 2009 yet). Once again, remember to click on it and it will download as a pdf. Actually, I just looked, and both the evaluation form and contrails have a "download now" button right above them. If that doesn't work for you feel free to PM me and I will do my best to get them to you. It can be a valuable resource, not just to prepare and what not, but just for information.

I have removed the link to the post of Contrails that bsa07eagle provided. Contrails is a publication of the USAFA AOG and is either explicitly or implicitly copyrighted by them. After consulting with the site owners, we decided that it would be best if we didn't allow a post to that material.

I know that there was no ill intent by bsa07eagle, but we need to make sure that we follow proper rules. Please make sure that you have permission from the owners of any material that you upload. If anyone has any questions about this, please let me know.

I am very sorry Stealth (and all the rest of the site admins). I should have consulted with you guys before posting. I recieved that copy legally while I was working at the academy this summer. I did not want to do anything illegial, I just wanted to give the other candidates the same information that I have (which is what this site is about: getting information from knowledgable people). I apoligise to everyone out there for giving out something that I should not.
